As I continue experimenting with the three brand directions, I have established the three directions I want to go in (exploration + adventure, durability + versatility, and innovation + future facing) as well as begun to figure out the brand marks and typeface for each. I have also begun to think of how each will accompany photography and the style of photography that will be used for each:

  • exploration + adventure = imagery of the environment, without people
  • durability + versatility = ?
  • innovation + future facing = detail shots of environment or products.

I have also put together a rather long and ever-growing list of name explorations:

durability:

  • place
  • anchor
  • rely
  • sound
  • endure
  • persist
  • adroit
  • argo
  • prautes / praus (greek gentle strength)
  • kyoto (chinese city protected by four gods)
  • eider (swiss mountain)
  • belay (a rope system used to protect climbers)
  • pied
  • nadir
  • sole
  • column
